"Hey," Tony returns, his tone slightly guarded but not actively antagonistic. He has no idea how to play this, how he's supposed to react. And even just seeing Steve now is making his pulse race, which is probably a sign of...something. Tony's not going to attempt to parse that out now.

He glances up at the Captain for a moment, almost searching, then leans forward to snag the cup. At least he comes bearing gifts. Tony can be reasonably sure he didn't screw things up too badly if Steve is still willing to bring him coffee.

"Yeah, sort of," he says, one side of his mouth ticking upwards into a slightly wry smile as his eyes flick towards Steve again. "There's...a lot of it. More than I expected."
