It took a moment for Adrien to realize that someone was speaking to him. Alarmed as Steve already was, he might be even moreso to see just how distant the gaze turned his way was, entirely like the teen was barely registering that he was there. He did though, odd costume ears pricking sluggishly as he recognized the voice, out of a person that... was definitely shorter and skinnier than he recalled. But there were enough similarities for him to put two and two together, even if it was slower than normal.
