Really? No pancakes? What a sad world this kid comes from. Steve rolls forward onto his feet and stands up, stretching his arms over his head. "Mf! They're batter, cooked on a griddle, and then you cover them with butter and syrup, or fruit, or whipped cream, or all of the above. Is there anything you can't or don't eat? Allergies or anything?"

As far as he can tell, this is a human kid, but it never hurts to double check.

He offers a handshake and then opens the door behind him. "Nice to meet you, Iris. You can call me Steve."
