Definitely a good thing that Steve is smaller now. As he was before, he would have been too intimidating for Iris to even think about talking to. He was aware that humans could be plenty dangerous even if they were smaller, but that combined with just how personable Steve seemed... well it definitely had the kid's guard going down a lot quicker.
