Steve was half asleep, basking in the late afternoon sun (which will probably give him a sunburn if he's not careful), but the motion nearby pulls him out of it a little, and then the sound of someone plopping onto the ground makes him start slightly. He sits up with a little grunt and rubs his face, then pauses to just watch the kid in the grass a few feet away from him.
There's a long pause, and then: "Uh...you okay, pal?"
