He should be scared. Everything he had been told about what's beyond the Tower was horrifying, and yet...
He was outside.
The Seattle tower had windows of course, huge wide things that let in the sunlight, but there was something entirely different from being out in it, feeling the breeze and seeing the wide expanse of sky overhead. So while he was nervous... he wasn't obviously a Demiflora at a glance. If he was careful he just could pass as a normal human, just don't use his powers and act normal.
Or as normal as he could as he was gawking in utter delighted wonder as he walked, slowing to a halt as he was distracted by...
Nothing more incredible than grass. But then... he'd only seen it in pictures. All the tower had was astroturf on some of the levels to simulate the outdoors but this was definitely not that. Utterly unthinking of how weird he probably looked as he just plopped down on his knees to run his hands through it, a goofy grin on his face, utterly unaware of anyone nearby.
