Clark is so used to dimensions where he or a counterpart already exists that it's honestly a surprise to him when that quick run and scouting mission gets such an excited reaction. He looks sheepish when he realizes, one hand lifting to run over his hair, a bit of embarrassment making him blush a bit. Like a kid caught sneaking cookies before dinner.
