Quietly said more than anything, but true all the same. He knew Steve would be worried about him, decided that some clear confirmation would help keep him from getting too worried about the idea of this. Besides, if there was anyone he trusted to be good to him in this moment, with that vulnerability still lurking so close to the surface?
