His grip on her hand is tight. It might actually be tighter than would be comfortable for a human. It's a quirk of Steve's, to think of holding hands as a grab for security rather than a shy first-date activity. Maybe today it's a little bit of both.
He can't help but note with satisfaction how indifferent the crowd around them seems. Safe, he thinks, and wonders why. It seems foolish; he's not afraid of crowds, but the idea that Loki's given him anonymity, even temporarily, makes him feel peaceful.
He smiles at her and adjusts the flower in her hair with his free hand. "Sounds good. The lines only get longer later in the day, anyway."
