He tilted his head at that, smile turning to something a bit soft, considering.
"I promise... to try and be reasonable, yes." Steve likely knew how dear such a thing was- Loki didn't like to actually make promises, especially those he might break, and with how mercurial his moods and behavior could be, a promise of always being reasonable was destined for failure. But this... this he could do. He could try, both for his own sake, and for the sake of the man smiling his way.
And he was feeling generous enough that he didn't tease Steve for that forlorn seeking, knowing that he'd pulled down everything needed for the task.
