He's genuinely curious. Of course, he also wants to give Loki the third degree about what exactly he got himself into tonight. Scolding him is not what he needs right now, though. It's also not what Steve needs. He'd like to pretend this is an aberration, something that's never happened before and won't be happening ever again, rather than part of a frightening pattern.
"All right. You're going to need to...oh." His voice trails off at the nuzzle. He was about to insist on food and water, but just that little touch derails him. Loki's skin is cold against his neck, but it feels pleasant anyway, like a kiss on a winter afternoon.
